Turtles

Turtles are reptiles of the order Testudines (the crown group of the superorder Chelonia), characterised by a special bony or cartilaginous shell developed from their ribs that acts as a shield. "Turtle" may either refer to the Testudines as a whole, or to particular Testudines which make up a form taxon that is not monophyletic.

Volcano

A volcano is an opening, or rupture, in a planet's surface or crust, which allows hot magma, volcanic ash and gases to escape from below the surface.
Volcanoes are generally found where tectonic plates are diverging or converging. Amid-oceanic ridge, for example the Mid-Atlantic Ridge, has examples of volcanoes caused by divergent tectonic plates pulling apart; the Pacific Ring of Fire has examples of volcanoes caused by convergent tectonic plates coming together. By contrast, volcanoes are usually not created where two tectonic plates slide past one another. Volcanoes can also form where there is stretching and thinning of theEarth's crust in the interiors of plates, e.g., in the East African Rift, the Wells Gray-Clearwater volcanic field and the Rio Grande Rift in North America. This type of volcanism falls under the umbrella of "Plate hypothesis" volcanism.

Windsurf

Windsurfing or sailboarding is a surface water sport that combines elements of surfing and sailing. It consists of a board usually two to four metres long, powered by the orthogonal effect of the wind on a sail. The rig is connected to the board by a free-rotating universal joint and comprises a mast, wishbone boom and sail. The sail area ranges from less than 3.0 m2 to more than 12 m2 depending on the conditions, the skill of the sailor and the type of windsurfing being undertaken.

News: Anonymous and LulzSec accused will stand trial in November 2012

Four British men charged with computer hacking in connection with online groups LulzSec and Anonymous will not stand trial before November next year.
The four – Peter David Gibson, 22, Ashley Rhodes, 26, Christopher Weatherhead, 20 and a 17-year-old student – were given a provisional trial date of 7 November 2012 at a short hearing at Southwark crown court in London on Friday.
The four men are separately charged with conspiracy to carry out an unauthorised act in relation to a computer. They were arrested earlier this year by police investigating online attacks by the hacking groups Anonymous and LulzSec.
All four are set to enter pleas for the first time at a plea and case management hearing listed for 26 January. The group will be the first of the 10 British males arrested in connection with Anonymous and LulzSec arrests to enter guilty or not guilty pleas to the charges.
The police are understood to need more time to gather evidence.
Only Gibson, from Hartlepool, appeared in court on Friday, wearing a smart grey suit and white shirt.
The group's bail conditions prohibit them from using online nicknames or using internet relay chat websites, the forums where Anonymous members are alleged to have plotted attacks.
Police have so far arrested 10 people in the UK, all male, in connection with online attacks carried out by the LulzSec and Anonymous groups.

News: Glen Johnson's late goal earns Liverpool victory against Chelsea

Liverpool seized victory in the 84th minute, and that outcome had often looked likely before the right-back Glen Johnson took a Charlie Adam pass, drove into the area, went past Ashley Cole and shot into the far corner of the net. The hosts had never been secure and, now a dozen points behind the leaders, Manchester City, the Chelsea manager, André Villas-Boas, is under severe pressure.
After all the years of defensive stringency, it is incongruous to witness a Stamford Bridge side that looks so brittle. Mikel John Obi was, for a defensive midfielder, guilty of a crass error in letting himself be dispossessed deep in his own half by Adam. Craig Bellamy and Luis Suárez then combined, before Maxi Rodríguez completed the attack with a composed finish in the 33rd minute.
Kenny Dalglish's lineup had far more poise and threat. Chelsea scarcely looked as if they could afford to have Fernando Torres on the bench, even if there was some logic to the decision, since he had been called upon as a substitute for Spain during the long trip that took him to Costa Rica last Tuesday.
The forward was not introduced until seven minutes from the end. Chelsea had come close to taking the lead when a Didier Drogba free-kick went into the side netting, but there was scant fluency or control from the side in open play.
Nonetheless, they were level after 55 minutes when Florent Malouda hit the ball towards the far post and the substitute Daniel Sturridge capitalised. Liverpool's menace receded for a brief period, but the main impression was of the trouble each side had in producing an incisive attack.
The exertions did not compensate for the shortage of expertise, but the great joy Liverpool took from this victory overwhelmed grumbles of that sort.

News: Australia push for win against South Africa

Teenage fast bowler Pat Cummins took six wickets on his debut as Australia kept alive their hopes of squaring the series on the fourth day of the second and final Test against South Africa at the Wanderers Stadium on Sunday.

A century partnership between Usman Khawaja (65) and Ricky Ponting (54 not out) enabled Australia to reach 142 for three at the close, 168 runs short of achieving the highest successful run chase at the Wanderers.

Khawaja was caught at slip off leg-spinner Imran Tahir one ball before bad light ended play after he and Ponting had put on 122 for the third wicket.

Cummins took six for 79 and was mainly responsible for South Africa being bowled out for 339, leaving Australia with 310 to win. Hashim Amla top-scored for South Africa with 105.

The target seemed a distant one when Shane Watson padded up to Vernon Philander and was bowled by the second ball of Australia's second innings.

Philander followed up in his next over when Phil Hughes was caught at second slip.

But Khawaja and Ponting, both with points to prove, batted sensibly to blunt South Africa's attack.

Khawaja, playing in his fourth Test, made his first Test half-century, while Ponting, in his 156th appearance, reached double figures for the first time in the series and went on to pass fifty for the 96th time in his career.

The left-handed Khawaja seemed to have difficulty reading Tahir's variations and edged a ball which went straight on to present a catch to Jacques Kallis at slip.

Australian captain Michael Clarke scored a single off the next ball before the umpires decided the light was too bad for further play.

Cummins, 18, produced a high-quality display as he became the youngest player to take five wickets or more in an innings on Test debut.

Cummins made the first breakthrough in the South African innings when he dismissed Jacques Rudolph on Saturday, then won a duel with South Africa's star batsman Kallis. He again made a crucial early strike on Sunday when he had AB de Villiers caught at second slip to end a 147- run fourth wicket stand between De Villiers and Amla.

South Africa lost four wickets for 37 runs at the start of Sunday's play before an eighth wicket stand of 48 between Philander and Dale Steyn stretched their lead.

Again it was Cummins who produced for Australia, bowling a brutal bouncer with the first ball after lunch which Philander gloved to wicketkeeper Brad Haddin. He yorked Morne Morkel with his next delivery.

Steyn had a successful slog, hitting sixes off Peter Siddle and Cummins before Cummins finished the innings by having Steyn caught behind for 41, ending a last wicket stand of 25 which took the lead beyond 300.

Amla top-scored for South Africa, taking his overnight 89 to 105 before he was caught behind off Mitchell Johnson. It was Amla's 14th Test century and his second of the series. (AFP)
